   Scriptures and Puranas state that worshipping a *Parad* (mercury) Lingam yields manifold benefits—far exceeding those obtained from worshipping millions of ordinary Shiva Lingams—and does so with greater ease. According to the *Brahma Purana*, a person who worships the *Parad* Lingam—which fulfills all heartfelt desires—attains true blessedness. Anyone can worship this Lingam, enjoy all worldly comforts, and ultimately attain the supreme abode (*Paramapada*).

The Brahma-vaivarta Purana states that even those who worship a *Pada-linga* just once, in accordance with the prescribed rules and rituals, can attain boundless happiness for as long as the sun and moon endure. 

According to the text *Siva Nirnaya Ratnakaram*, worshipping a gold-clad Shiva Linga yields ten million times more merit than worshipping a stone Shiva Linga. Worshipping a gem-studded Linga brings manifold greater benefits than that. However, worshipping or even beholding a *Parada Linga* (mercury Linga) yields benefits that are vastly greater still. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a Shiva Linga in this world superior to the *Parada Linga*. 

According to the *Shivapurana*, worshipping a *Paradalinga* (a Linga made of mercury) enables one to be absolved of all sins and attain *Mukti* (liberation).

The *Vayaviya Samhita* states that worshipping a *Paradalinga* is the single best and easiest way to attain longevity, good health, prosperity, and the fulfillment of all one's desires. Lord Shiva Himself has declared, "I hold the fortunate person who has beheld a *Paradalinga* in higher regard than one who has visited all twelve *Jyotirlingas*!"

The book *Sarvadarshana Sangraha* states that Lord Shiva told Parvati that those who solidify mercury, fashion it into a *Linga*, and worship it will never experience the fear of death; furthermore, poverty will never visit their homes. 

According to the *Rasarnava Tantra*, if a person worships a *Parada Linga* (a Linga made of mercury) even just once, they attain the four goals of life: *Dharma* (righteousness), *Artha* (wealth), *Kama* (pleasure), and *Moksha* (liberation). Worshipping a *Parada Linga* yields benefits a crore times greater than those obtained by worshipping a thousand renowned Lingas. 

According to the text *Rasa Samuchayam*, continuous worship of a *Rasa Linga* (a *Linga* made of solidified mercury) grants freedom from all forms of disease. No other substance or metal possesses the power to keep a person free from illness during old age.
